Prostitution | Explained

The type which I am about to talk about here is the Sex Trafficking one. Prostitution is the business or practice of engaging in sexual activity in exchange for payment. Let me explain something new to you. This word is Latin-derived. The composition is ~> “Up Front/Forward” and “To Offer Up For Sale.” Prostitutes are not only female but male as well.

Types

1. Brothels:
   An area fully committed to prostitution. It is run by a Pimp or a Madam. All activities take place at one premise.
2. Street:
   Prostitutes wear seductive clothes in spite of the weather and allure clients from the roadside or traffic. They service the customer in cars, motels or hotels.
3. Escort:
   The act takes place at the customer’s residence, a hotel room, or any designated area that the client sets.

Who Are The Organizers?

They are called the Pimps ( if Male in Gender ) or Madam ( if Female in Gender )

Who are the Clients?

They are the ones who book upon prostitutes for pleasure. The clients are mostly Male (May it be for either gender prostitutes), but Female customers exist as well.

The Timeline of the Few Passed Centuries

The 18th Century	Initially fairly common for British soldiers to engage in inter-ethnic prostitution in India
The 19th Century	Legalized prostitution become a public controversy as France and then the United Kingdom passed the Contagious Diseases Acts France choose to regulate prostitution (France, instead of trying to outlaw prostitution begin to view prostitution as an evil necessary for society to function) Prostitution is also very prominent in the Barbary Coast, San Francisco as the population was mainly men
The 20th Century	The leading theorists of Communism oppose prostitution. Prostitution is made illegal in almost all states between 1910 and 1915 In 1956, the United Kingdom introduce the Sexual Offences Act During late 1980s, many states in the US increase the fines for prostitution in cases where the prostitute is knowingly HIV-positive
What We Live In: The 21st Century	Afghans begin prostituting Young Boys After the Break of the Soviet Union, Many European Women fly to Asia and Middle East. Some were willing, the rest were tricked. Many women from Europe and Asia work as prostitutes in Dubai. Men from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates form a large proportion of the customers. India’s devadasi girls are being forced to work as prostitutes, or as known, dedicate themselves to Goddess Renuka due to poverty.  Church prostitutes still exist.

Travel for sexual intercourse with prostitutes or to engage in other sexual activity.

Facts

• About 80% of women in prostitution have been the victim of a rape. They are the most raped class of women in the history of our planet.
• 90% of prostituted women had pimps while in prostitution.
• 73% reported having experienced physical assault in prostitution.
• 72% were currently or formerly homeless.
• 92% stated that they wanted to escape prostitution immediately.
• The estimated age of entry into child prostitution is 12 years old, while girls as young as 9 years old have been known to be recruited for prostitution.
• Incest among prostitutes ranges from 65% to 90%.
• 80% of prostitution survivors reported that their clients showed them pornography to display the types of sexual activities in which they wished to engage. 52% of the women expressed that pornography played a notable role in teaching them what was expected of them as prostitutes. 30% reported that their pimps constantly exposed them to pornography in order to brainwash them into an acceptance of the applications depicted.

We usually think that Prostitutes are willing to do their job. Little do we know about their past, if they were abducted, about their pimps and all the tortures they have to go through.
